SATURDAY 3RD JUNE OUTING

On Saturday 3rd June we had a branch outing to Ripon Cathedral to begin the day.  This was to view the Needle Points North panels which were on display for the first time in a number of years and also the exhibition "Perspectives".
The Needle Points North panel (photo below) was the one made by members of Guisborough Branch in 1996 for the Year of the Arts.

After viewing the exhibition we went on to have lunch at Thirsk Garden Centre.  A beautiful sunny day and lots of members had lunch outside.
Our next stop was Mount Grace Priory to view the Lace exhibiton.  The pieces were inspired by their settings in the Priory.
We then enjoyed a leisurely walk around the Priory with a very knowledgeable guide which was a lovely end to a very pleasant day out.
