VISIT TO PYTHON GALLERY EXHIBITION

The Daisies were stitched by a group of members and very kindly put together by Diane J.

This is lovely and so colourful by Heather W.  using threads, beads, fabric and all sorts of goodies to create a very eye catching piece of textile art.

PYTHON GALLERY EXHIBITON

Just a reminder our exhibition runs until 8th March 2019.   Make sure you visit and see the delightful pieces.  Linda D.

BEHIND THE SEAMS PRESTON PARK MUSEUM

There is a lovely exhibition on at Preston Park Museum until 3rd March 2019.   This explores the world of costume design - specifically Angels Costumes - the world's greatest costume house.

Angels have been providing costumes for stage and screen since 1840.

The costumes on show are from The Crown, Downton Abbey, Poldark, Titanic and lots of others.

Members of the museum are there, some in costume, and will give you lots of extra info about the costumes.

It is a beautiful exhibition in a wonderful setting.  Well worth seeing.  Linda D.

GALLERY PREVIEW WRITE UP NATURAL WORLD BY RANDOM STITCHERS

This was the review that Peter Heselton of Python Gallery sent out to publicise our exhibition.  I think it sums up very well what all our hard work has achieved in producing this exhibition.  Linda D.

The first exhibition in the New Year is the Natural World by Random Stitchers.

This group show is an incredible, positive testament to the variety of techniques and applications of the creative possibilities that the medium of textiles can produce.

This show highlights the many techniques employed by each artist to question the subject of "The Natural World", including Felting, Applique, Stumping, Hand and Machine Embroidery and so much more.

It is an inspiring, diverse and engaging exhibiton.  It is also a brilliant beginning to an amazing new year of exhibitions which we hope that you will attend over the unfolding year.

Very best wishes, Peter Heselton.
