SATURDAY 18TH JUNE OUTING TO GIBSIDE

We had a most enjoyable trip to Gibside, although it was chilly at the start of the day the rain didn't appear and eventually the sun did shine.  The Walled Garden looked lovely and the "washing" that was on display was beautiful, so much thought and time had gone in to the work, quite inspiring.

Carole Hood's poppies made a real statement with their lovely vibrant colours.

Heather Waring's Seasons gave a real sense of Gibside throughout the year.

The display in the Chapel was beautiful and lots of members of the public were really very appreciative of the work.

Monday Workshop 13th June

We will be stitching leaves at our next workshop. It is hoped that the finished measurement will be four inches square to add to our daisy squares.

We looked at the Doodle form idea from one of the Guild Folios, this could be used as an inspiration. If this does not appeal to you perhaps you would like to choose  your own technique.
