We had a most unusual meeting with Angela Sandwith on Saturday. Lots of her work was using recycled or unusual fabrics. (Plastic carrier bags, crisp packets, garden fleece, a real mixture of items you wouldn't think to use). She was so enthusiastic about her work and engaging others in it. There was a real buzz at the end of her talk and she said herself there were loads of people going to talk to her which was lovely.

Postcard size pieces machine stitched on her children's outgrown denim clothes. Angela has made these over many years as reminders of family holidays and other events. |

A sketchbook pages of an apron she used for one of her outdoor projects. |
