Lisa says...
A Workshop with a difference.
A Workshop with emphasis on creativity rather than skill.
A Workshop where you won't need to bring a truckload of 'stuff',
"...I intend that the workshop would hopefully take people out of their comfort zone and be directed as more of a step along the way to exploring their own creativity so the outcome would be personal rather that having a pattern to follow or a finished piece..."
And that's what we did. Only Sybil got far enough to remove the tissue template but hopefully we will be able to post some more pictures as more of us reveal all.

Saturday's meeting
Our speaker this month is Lisa Smith. The talk is called 'From Art to Luxury', all about how Lisa's career has progressed. See you there.
Exhibition
We took down our exhibition on Tuesday. Peter, the gallery manager, has been very impressed by it and the lady in charge of the cafe said it was one of the most popular displays the gallery has had. Peter wondered if we would like to have another one, so we are booked in for spring 2019. Get stitching!

SATURDAY 10TH MARCH 2018 PREVIEW OF OUR EXHIBITION
We had a very enjoyable get together at the preview afternoon at the Python Gallery on Saturday.
As well as branch members we also had several visitors who were delighted with not just our exhibits but the standard and variety of the work. Hopefully in the coming weeks we will have lots more visitors and plenty of compliments about the exhbition.
Many thanks to Peter for arranging the pieces for us; Python Gallery is a really nice venue, very light and airy and the work can be shown off well.
Congratulations to all our members for all the hard work and effort that was put in to make it a success.
Each letter was embroidered by a different member of the branch using whatever stitches they wanted.
Postcards made by various members using a local scene for their inspiration.

Python Gallery
We had a busy morning at the Python Gallery today. All we had to do was unpack the work. Peter Heselton had the difficult job of choosing what was going on display and then hanging it. We came away with the discarded packing and some of the pieces of work because we had TOO much for one exhibition. So well done all of us.
Peter has asked about another exhibition and suggested themes that would use the pieces he had to leave out because of lack of space.
Don't forget about the opening on Saturday.
