Saturday Meeting
Our speaker on Saturday is Angela Sandwith. Her talk is titled 'Using Recycled and Unusual Materials'. Sounds interesting and quite a contrast from Brigid's fine work that we saw last month! Angela lectures at Sunderland University. Her work uses traditional techniques but on a wide range of discarded materials. Visitors welcome

SATURDAY 4TH MARCH BRIGID LOWE
We had a very good afternoon with Brigid, one of our members, giving us a talk on Chinese and Japanese embroidery and how the two countries embroideries have changed over the past 50 years.
Lynda then told us about her memories of visiting the same lady some years ago and also showed her Chinese embroidery thread wallet which she has started to decorate.
It was a lovely afternoon which we all enjoyed.

MONDAY WORKSHOP 13TH MARCH BROOCHES
Our workshop will be on brooches. We are hoping to make some for the fund raising stall at the Regional Day in May.
Photograph is of two variations of the ones we will be making but if anyone wants to bring a different brooch to make that is absolutely fine. The more the merrier.
See you on the 13th.
