CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS CONTINUED
On Saturday 3rd December we had our branch
Christmas party.
We had a lovely afternoon; lots of fun and laughter and plenty of time to talk to each other.
Some of us had brought our travelling books to swop and there were plenty of appreciative comments about the really nice pieces that members had produced.
We had a delicious afternoon tea provided by the
members.
Followed by an absolutely hilarious game of bingo
very kindly organised by Lynda and a raffle.
All in all a very pleasant Christmas party.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS
On Wednesday (30th November) four of us went along to St. Nicholas' church in Guisborough to set up our branch Christmas tree as part of the Christmas Tree Festival.
About 25 trees are decorated by local organisations in Guisborugh. They will be in the church all week and will be well worth going to see. It was a nice start to the Christmas festivities. We also enjoyed the nice hot chocolate in one of the local cafes afterwards.
It was a little difficult to take photos because of the light from the stained glass windows and then the darker shadows from the stone below but we managed. Our tree is lovely and colourful with some very pretty decorations. Thank you to everyone who loaned us their baubles.
